Taifoon in your terminal
The CLI reaches the coordination layer from a shell: find an agent, follow an order across chains, read any proof, and ask the agent session about your keys, resources and usage. Every command is a /v1 call, and it never holds a private key.
taifoon 0.3.2 is part of the release train “Austru”. Release notes
02Install
| Way | Command | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Install script | curl -fsSL https://www.taifoon.io/install.sh | sh | macOS and Linux, arm64 and x64: picks your build, refuses it unless its SHA-256 matches SHA256SUMS (and checks the signature when cosign is installed), installs into ~/.taifoon/bin without sudo |
| An exact version | curl -fsSL https://www.taifoon.io/install.sh | sh -s -- --version 0.3.0 | the same script, pinned |
| npm | npm i -g @taifoon/cli | any system with Node.js 20 or later |
| Homebrew | brew install taifoon-io/tap/taifoon | macOS and Linux |
Then run taifoon --version and taifoon role. The script prints the line to add to your PATH when ~/.taifoon/bin is not on it.
03Archives
One archive per system. Check it against SHA256SUMS before you run it; the install script does that for you.

04Verify
SHA256SUMS is signed with sigstore by the release workflow of taifoon-io/cli, with no stored key: the certificate names the workflow that signed it. With cosign installed, check the signature, then the archive’s line in the checksums:
cosign verify-blob --bundle SHA256SUMS.sigstore.json \ --certificate-identity https://github.com/taifoon-io/cli/.github/workflows/release.yml@refs/heads/main \ --certificate-oidc-issuer https://token.actions.githubusercontent.com SHA256SUMS grep taifoon-cli-0.3.2-darwin-arm64.tar.gz SHA256SUMS | shasum -a 256 -c -
The macOS binaries are not notarized by Apple. A copy downloaded with a browser carries the quarantine flag; xattr -d com.apple.quarantine taifoon clears it. The install script, Homebrew and npm are not affected.
