Provider Entry
List Taifoon as an external provider on your inference cloud. One OpenAI-compatible entry, three n8n workflows in the admin shape, the first routes at the catalogue price, and two ways to settle.
An inference cloud routes a model name to a backend. The Provider Entry is one such backend: a base URL, a key in an environment variable, a model list at /models and chat at /chat/completions. Behind it sit every venue the brokerage buys from and the rigs of the provider program, priced from the market, settled through one vault. The cloud approves the routes it wants; each answer carries its venue and its sale id.
Status: quoted. The door answers with a price (the catalogue below, and a 402 with terms on a call without a key). It reads live once an outside buyer's payment is received into the vault. The worked example is NEAR AI Cloud, in its admin shape; the same entry fits any cloud or router with an external OpenAI-compatible backend.
1. The entry
Seven fields. The key behind TAIFOON_API_KEY is minted by the cloud at POST https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1/register and funded by the cloud; its value is never in a workflow or on this page.
| Field | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|
name | taifoon | the provider as the cloud names it |
backend | openai_compatible | the OpenAI chat-completions shape, streaming included |
base_url | https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1 | every path below hangs off it |
credential_env | TAIFOON_API_KEY | sent as Authorization: Bearer on every call |
models_path | models | discovery: the ids, each with its price per 1M tokens and whether it is served now |
| chat | chat/completions | the call the router makes; the answer carries usage and the sale id |
execution_security | non_tee | an external backend is not a TEE route; routes are approved tee: any |
In the admin shape
On NEAR AI Cloud the provider registry takes the entry as one object, then approves {upstream_model, model_name} pairs from what /models returns. The model batch of today's admin API takes one row per model; the price fields are the catalogue's number per 1M tokens, scaled to a per-token amount.

curl -s https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1/models | jq '.data[] | {id, owned_by, price: .taifoon.usd_per_1m, available: .taifoon.available}'At the last read (2026-10-26 14:46 UTC) the catalogue carried 28 models from 8 venues: chutes, deepinfra, groq, ionet, near-ai, phala, taifoon-gpu, venice. A model moves with the market; the price a request pays is the one the catalogue shows at that moment.
2. Who it is for
| Who | What the entry gives |
|---|---|
| An inference cloud | a second source for the open-weight models it already lists, under its own catalogue price, with one settlement per attempt |
| A router or gateway | one more OpenAI-compatible upstream, discovered from the list, no SDK |
| NEAR AI Cloud (the worked example) | the entry in its admin shape, the routes approved tee: any, the settlement line per attempt against the sale id the answer carries |
A cloud whose policy requires a TEE lists only attested routes. This entry is not one. The pool's rigs can join the cloud's own TEE stack later; that is step 6 of the rollout, after paid volume on this door.
3. The three workflows
Import them into n8n (Workflows → Import from URL, or Import from File). Each holds a credential placeholder only. The calls to a cloud's admin API are in the files and disabled; the cloud enables them on its own n8n with its own credential.
The provider entry
The entry in the admin shape, the catalogue read live, one admin row per model with its price per token. The admin call is in the file and disabled: the cloud enables it on its own n8n with its own credential.
trigger: manual
nodes: Provider entry → Read the Taifoon catalogue → Shape the admin batch → PATCH /v1/admin/models — NEAR runs this → What NEAR gets
disabled on purpose: PATCH /v1/admin/models
Import from URL: https://www.taifoon.io/n8n/20-near-provider-entry.json
One routed call
The list on the key, one chat completion as the router makes it, and the settlement line the cloud posts per attempt: the cost from the usage the answer carried, the completion id as evidence.
trigger: manual
nodes: List models → One call → Settlement line
Import from URL: https://www.taifoon.io/n8n/21-near-route-check.json
Reconcile the day
Every day: the public sale run, the key standing, one digest both sides read. The per-attempt settlement call stays disabled until the cloud enables it.
trigger: every 24 hours
nodes: Sale run → Key standing → Digest → POST provider-attempts/{id}/settlement — NEAR runs this
disabled on purpose: POST /v1/admin/provider-attempts/{id}/settlement

4. The first routes
The routes a cloud approves first, each with the catalogue entry that serves it now and that entry's price. Every number is read from GET /models when this page renders; a route with no listed supply prints — and enters the day a venue lists it.
| Route (model_name) | Catalogue id (upstream_model) | Served by | USD per 1M in | USD per 1M out | Supply |

5. The settlement forms
The cloud picks one. Both end in the same ledger: one sale per answer, its legs netting to zero per token and chain, the public summary at api.taifoon.dev/coordination/sale-run.json.
| Form | How | Evidence per attempt |
|---|---|---|
| A funded key | one key from POST /v1/register; one USDC transfer on Base from GET /v1/access/quote, claimed with POST /v1/access/topup; every call metered on the key at the list price | the completion id; the key standing at GET /v1/access/key |
| x402 per call | a call without a key answers 402 with the terms of that one call; the client pays and repeats the call with the payment header | the sale id the receipt names |
curl -s -X POST https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1/register -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{}'
curl -s 'https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1/access/quote?usdc=10&chainId=8453'curl -s -X POST https://coord.taifoon.dev/v1/chat/completions -H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"model":"deepseek/deepseek-v3.2","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"ping"}],"max_tokens":4}'The settlement line a cloud posts per attempt is computed in workflow 21: the catalogue price is USD per 1M tokens, so micro-USD per token is the same number; cost = prompt tokens × in + completion tokens × out.
6. The rollout
Each step is one agreement on the cloud's side and nothing new on the gateway.
- 1. One entryThe cloud adds the provider entry above and approves its first routes as tee: any. Workflow 20 writes the batch; the cloud runs the admin call.
- 2. More routesEvery model the catalogue carries at a price under the cloud’s own is one more pair to approve. The catalogue is the discovery; nothing is typed.
- 3. Settlement formThe cloud picks one: a funded key, topped up with one USDC transfer on Base, or x402 per call. Workflow 22 reconciles the day against the public sale run.
- 4. The cloud sells backThe cloud’s attested routes enter the catalogue the same way, and the gateway resells them to every door it serves. One entry each way.
- 5. A second resellerA reseller tenant gets a child key with a markup leg of its own and settles on its own rail. The cloud’s routes reach a second surface without a second contract.
- 6. TEE lane and IntentsA pool of rigs on the cloud’s own TEE stack, with one verifier on its side, becomes a confidential route. Settlement through NEAR Intents, in the form the cloud names.
Quoted: the entry, the routes and both settlement forms answer with a price today. Live only once an outside buyer's payment is received into the vault; this line changes then, with the evidence named. Questions: info@taifoon.io.
